Things I wish someone had told me when I started:Įven if you know how to play the game, the lessons are great since it helps you develop table manners - there are lots of 'do's and don'ts' you'll want to master in order not to upset the table (string bets, rake, playing out of turn, etc). I saw cheap buy ins at tournament at Bally's and South Point in October., although I didn't care for either of those Poker rooms (can't even call Bally's a 'room'. Also, many have beginner lessons in the morning. Some have tournaments with extremely low buy ins.
Try Sam's Town, Texas Station or Orleans for laid back atmosphere. Almost every hotel now has a poker room.I would try one of the smaller ones first so you don't have as much of a wait.
